Founded in 1978 by Nand Kishore Chaudhary with two looms, Jaipur Rugs now has over 7000 looms in 600 villages across India and sells in over 60 countries. It uses the ancestral art of handmade carpets as a tool to provide sustainable livelihood to 40,000 rural artisans, at their doorstep, of which 80% are women. By transforming this ancestral craft into sustainable livelihood Jaipur Rugs is able to, both preserve and propagate this rich heritage passed down through centuries. The next generations of weavers and artisans are once again learning this craft and prospering through it. Jaipur Rugs believes in bridging the gap between villages and overseas by connecting our artisans directly with the consumers. Our holistic mission is to narrate beautiful stories of the artisans and their families to our customers with our quality handmade rugs.Jaipur Rugs is increasing the retail presence in the country. We operate retail stores in Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur and 10 franchises across major metros. The retail stores offer an immersive luxury retail experience with its curated line-up of contemporary rugs and classic design language. In addition to that, we are continuously expanding the base not only in India but globally having established a strong footprint in the USA, Russia and China.
The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to various countries with the US sales arm, Jaipur Living, Inc. located in Georgia, Atlanta. We specialize in catering the needs of Interior Designers & Architects by producing 5 million sq ft, annually with around 11,000 rugs in stock. We have an exhaustive collection of handmade rugs to cater to all needs. We specialize in all types of hand-crafted rugs – from jute/hemp & cotton flat weave, to hand tufted & hand knotted, with over 500 collections. Each piece is inherently unique and displays a smooth blend between one-of-a-kind and consistent perfection.
However, we also understand that each person is unique and can have their own idea to decorate their space. Therefore, our most specialized service is rug customization. Every room is different; every person has a different perspective and desire. You may want your rug to be tailored just right for you and for your room, or express the art inside you and find a place for it in your living space.
