green contest winners revealed

Dwell and The American Institute of Architects (AIA) have announced the winners of the “How Green Are You?” residential design competition, which was designed to recognize the most innovative green home projects in North America. Ryan Walsh of DRW Design Build, Portland, Ore., was chosen as the grand prize winner for Recycled Aesthetic, a renovation of his home using recycled and repurposed materials.

Architects Matthew Woodruff and Clinton Cuddington of Vancouver, B.C.-based Measured Architecture also were recognized for their Gulf Island House project, as were Ryan Mankoski of Ninebark Studio and Chad Schneider of ArchiLab Design, both of Seattle, for their Salvaged Cedar project.
