Today, after 65 years as Steinberg—a design and architecture firm with offices in San Francisco; Los Angeles; San Diego; San Jose, Calif.; and Shanghai—the firm announced its new name: Steinberg Hart. Founded by Goodwin Steinberg in 1953, Steinberg Hart has been under the leadership of president and CEO David Hart, AIA, since 2014.
“My father, Goody, founded our firm in the heart of Silicon Valley—a region that is synonymous with innovation and change. Our design practice is always evolving and so is our leadership,” said chairman Robert T. Steinberg, FAIA, in a press release. “The Steinberg Hart rebrand honors the legacy of the diverse portfolio that we have produced over the last 65 years while optimistically embracing the future of our next generation of leadership.”
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Hart joined Steinberg in 2002 following his time at Pfeiffer Partners Architects in Los Angeles, RJC Architects in San Diego, and a brief stint at HKS in Dallas.
“As the third-generation leader of a firm and brand that puts our clients and people first, it has been an honor to work alongside Rob and help build a high-performance team over the past 16 years," Hart said in the same release. "Personally, this rebrand honors our legacy that Goody and Rob built while signaling that we are moving forward by deepening our existing market sectors and launching strategic growth into new markets and regions.”
As part of the rebrand, the firm is also debuting a new logo and an updated website.
