Each week we receive word of new-product launches and upgrades to existing technology in categories from decorative fixtures to OLEDs. Here, we’re showcasing a few of the latest introductions in the exterior products category. For more outdoor fixtures, check out our 2014 Products Guide, in which we spotlight notable lamps, drivers, and luminaires from the previous year.

Rincon Bollard, Forms+Surfaces
A minimalist stainless steel housing and white-frosted acrylic lens help the Rincon Bollard from Forms+Surfaces assimilate into outdoor environments during the day while facilitating wayfinding after dark. The column measures 4.5” square and 36.2” tall, with the light source spanning 11” in height on all four sides. The bollard is offered at 3000K and 4000K with both versions outputting 1,020 lumens.

LNC2 LED, Hubbell Lighting
Hubbell Lighting has added motion sensors to its wall-mounted LNC2 LED fixture in two variations—one with an on–off sensor and the other with a programmable sensor featuring an adjustable time delay and dimming, as well as an integral photocell. Offered with seven, nine, 12, or 18 LEDs, the new LED versions replace metal halide fixtures from 50W to 250W.

HMAO LED II, Acuity Brands/Holophane
Acuity Brands/Holophane’s second-generation HMAO LED II features a modular chip design that uses less energy than conventional high-mast products. For use on highways, ports, rail yards, parking lots, and other outdoor spaces requiring crisp white light, the fixture provides 28,000 lumens to 62,000 lumens at up to 125 lumens per watt. Available in 4000K and 5000K with a minimum CRI of 70 and zero uplight.

TLTO12V2 16CR, ConTech Lighting
ConTech Lighting has added an outdoor version to its family of LED tapelights. The 12V DC flexible strip is offered in three color temperatures—2900K to 3400K, 3600K to 4200K, and 5000K to 6000K—as well as amber, blue, green, and red colors. IP65-rated, the tapelight is suitable for wet locations.

Olivio, Selux
Selux has updated its Olivio family of outdoor luminaires with white and RGBW LED technology. The fixtures (Sistema, shown) offer multiple configuration options with various arm and pole lengths and three head sizes. The system features a die-cast, low-copper aluminum housing and stainless steel fasteners. Applications for the series’ products include pathway illumination and building spotlighting or accenting.
