Project Description
Better, stronger, faster. That is the company mantra for Body Dynamics, Inc. and they desired a design concept that would reflect this mantra and enhance the experience of their clients and employees.
Body Dynamics is a comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation facility located in the City of Falls Church, Virginia. In addition to the physical therapy services, they offer sports enhancement training, personal training, dance and fitness classes, massage and acupuncture. The design provides specific activity areas within an open and flowing floor plan which is flooded with natural light throughout. The new space is double the size of their previous basement space and provides their clients and employees with an environment which is calming and conducive to healing.
The soft curves of the floor plan reflect the curves within the new branding and logo design also developed for Body Dynamics, Inc. The result was a seamless marriage of place and identity inspired by the curves. The theme is carried along the winding walls of the corridors, along the circular lines of the bright weight rooms, and spirals around the reception and waiting areas.
The creamy waves of the reception backslash promote a sense of calm. The cool blue wash lighting along the ceiling and blue, hanging glass strobes soften the space promoting a more relaxing atmosphere. The weight rooms were finished with warm pastels.
