Project Description
A new urban, highrise retirement community, Brightview Woodmont is a 112-unit new community that will feature assisted living and memory care residences for seniors.
The building offers a host of amenities including multiple dining options–a formal dining room and a cafe as well as activity spaces for arts & crafts and hobbies. The new community also features a roof top deck with views of the Washington D.C. skyline.
The architectural design for this 8-story building is inspired by its surroundings, and has been thoughtfully conceived to place the difference community uses at their optimum locations. The building facades are designed to be transparent and modern with large expanses of glazing at street level and varying materials, heights and setbacks.
This project earned a merit award, the organization’s highest honor, in the 2017 from the American Institute of Architects Design for Aging Knowledge Community.
