Project Description
As architects, this design project for a custom home was a dream come true. We were fortunate to have wonderful clients who gave us total design freedom and a site that might be one of the most spectacular in the country. The chosen home site overlooks seven dramatic red rock canyons in the Sedona, Arizona area. Breathtaking views can been seen in every direction. Our challenge was to design a perfect residence for our clients as well as develop a structure that would enhance and compliment the land in every way. The owners named the project “CANYON GRACE” Some notable design features include: + Three separate structures terracing down with the natural terrain. + Interior finishes of the finest natural materials. + Exterior materials of stone, glass and zinc – all to blend in shape, color and form of the rock canyons. + A waterfall feature that drops thirteen feet matching the adjacent staircase to the pool. + A seventy two foot pool that is cantilevered over an existing rock cliff. + For energy a major geothermal system was installed with over twenty, three hundred foot deep wells. + Technological, media and automation development at the absolute state of the art. + All existing Juniper trees were salvaged during construction and transplanted on site This list could go on and on but we believe that the photography is above excellent and must be seen to truly believe the beauty and grace of this architectural statement.
