Project Description
FROM THE ARCHITECTS:
Field Operations’ planning and design of the open space for Cornell’s new campus on New York City’s Roosevelt Island ensures a consistent identity that is at the same time flexible for long-term development. The 12.5 acre design offers state-of-the-art sustainability metrics, with porous pavements, storm-water gardens, native plantings and renewable materials. Offering a rich variety of social spaces, the design provides a unique and vibrant identity for this new 21st-Century urban campus.
