Project Description
The Dow Texas Innovation Center is a new global research and development hub for the Dow Chemical Company. The campus recently received LEED Gold, making it the largest Dow facility to receive LEED.
This multi-building campus houses 100+ state-of-the-art laboratories, technical expertise centers, administration, engineering and amenity facilities for the 2,000+ employees stationed there.
With nearly 1 million square feet of space, the campus includes an administration building, an amenities building, two 4-story lab buildings, and a central plant and warehouse building.
Each lab building was designed with lab "wings," based on a common module that supports different business units within Dow. Kirksey designed a "super module" lab unit to assist in the safe management of chemicals and materials.
The amenities building includes a monumental lobby and visitor's center, product display center, employee clinic, conference center, and state-of-the-art fitness center.
