Project Description
This new west metro home is beautifully equipped to handle the varied activities of its creative owners while also taking advantage of its unique site. Positioned to overlook a scenic marsh, natural sunlight abounds in the main spaces of the home. One space, serving as a musical teaching and performing space, includes acoustical panels, clerestory windows, and integrated custom lighting systems all working in harmony to make this area not only beautiful but highly functional. Anchoring it all at one end of the kitchen is a custom wood-burning pizza oven. Solar panels and an herb garden for making homemade pizzas are atop the house, helping to make the exterior of this house as unique as the interior. A separate prep kitchen off to the side allows the homeowner to entertain guests in the open and bright main space while keeping the mess of meal prep tucked neatly away. Stainless steel counters make cleanup a breeze, and utilizing prefab cabinets helped to keep the budget in check.
