Project Description
To tap into the lucrative northeast convention market, Resorts Casino Hotel teamed with SOSH Architects to create the Resorts Conference Center. The design team rose to the challenge of transforming a section of the historic building into a leading-edge conference center, while maintaining the design integrity of the early 1900s time period. The eleven completed meeting spaces, named the Atlantic Rooms, feature the building’s original detailing and molding profiles, combined with traditional patterns and materials used in contemporary ways. Thoughtful design features include mobile partitions, modular lounge areas with outlets and USB ports, pre-function spaces with snack and coffee areas, cork wall tiles for pin-up space, and state-of-the-art AV and lighting controls. The end result is an engaging environment that inspires productivity and big ideas.
