Project Description
This mixed-use development features ground floor commercial space and three residential floors consisting of 108 studio and one bedroom apartments. Residents experience building-wide fast Wi-Fi connectivity, open floor plans with natural light, energy-efficient fixtures, and decks or private terraces. Constructed on a non-wetland, infill lot, 85% of the job waste was recycled. The courtyard was designed to take advantage of the sun and opens to the north and south sides. This development received parking reduction credits due to its location within a quarter-mile of a transit stop. Bus passes are subsidized for residents. Electric vehicle charging stations are provided. Located within minutes to job centers in Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond, there are numerous retail and dining options. Closer to home, residents can walk within a few blocks for basic needs, from grocery shopping to dining to fitness to auto services. Within 5 miles are K-12 schools, along with daycare, technology institute, library and medical center. An on-site dog park and grooming station for pets is provided. On-site bike storage allows residents to hit nearby trails and parks. Home to employers including Evergreen Hospital, Pacific Medical Centers, Microsoft, and Google, the community adds quality apartment housing to the region, and provides a template for future economic development in this area.
