Project Description

The showroom owners would like to share with you their passion for exceptional creative design for the little ones. To do so, they have created a magical universe in the trendy Wilanów neighborhood of Warsaw. Their innovative concept perfectly realizes the idea of a place where parents can find anything they wish to buy for their children. This showroom was designed by the studio Studio.O.

Designing a shop where one can find products for children is not a mean task. In addition to considerations like a good location, guaranteed safety and a wide and carefully chosen range of goods on offer, a thoughtfully planned interior catering to the needs of both parents and children is equally important.

The interior should be functionally furnished and be based on an original concept in line with current trends. This boutique will have timeless appeal – it must be open to change, redecoration and constant readaptation according to new collections and the zeitgeist they reflect. Studio.O., in charge of the design, has met the challenge and indeed upped the ante, putting all their potential, creativity and imagination into this project. Extra care has been used in choosing colours, patterns, shapes and materials, ensuring that they have one thing in common: they must be unique.

In harmony with nature.
The showroom has 360 square meters and features objects of renowned brands such as OshKosh, Carter´s, SkipHop, Meri Meri, Play&Go, Wishbone, Bermbach, Lonea, Boon, Cybex and Tikiri. The back room has the office, a kitchen and restroom – all attractively designed. The creators have been inspired by the most beautiful children´s boutiques in the world. The colourful and unique objects of the brands represented here are displayed in subdued light and set against an unobtrusive, rather minimalist background. There are many subtle references to nature in the design: ample use has been made of various shades of wood, such as oak and plywood, nuances of grey and white, and concrete. The entire space comes complete with ultra-modern lighting: the luxury brands XAL and MOOOI are state of the art technically and decoratively. In the kitchen, minimalism prevails: walls and cabinets are decorated in dark anthracite, contrasting with the bright colours of the floor, counter top and bar stools. Large glass panels separate the kitchen from the hall.

The back room.
The colourful office floor, specially designed for this project, draws immediate attention and contrasts beautifully with the white furniture by Vitra. While the room is not exactly big it is made to appear more spacious by large wall mirrors. The conference room can be seen through glass panels. The bathroom with its walls in stylish dark anthracite is optically enlarged by endless linear mirror reflections and has a simple white (baby´s) changing table with a counter top of Corian (an acrylic mineral surface material).
The exhibition section / The showroom.
All the walls of the showroom are covered with furniture or panels. The wall areas adjacent to windows are finished with white MDF panels. The floor is an attractive mix of wood and concrete. Free-standing furniture is finished with oak veneer, white varnish or plywood. Construction poles wrapped in flexible plywood also draw the attention of customers and conduce to highlight the objects on display. To highlight the gorgeous objects by Meri Meri they are displayed on three oak wood tables, each lit by huge towering lamps by the exclusive MOOOI brand.
Away from the windows the décor and the tones change towards darker hues – the ceiling, the walls, the racks and the landings are anthracite-coloured. This environment allows the rattan cradles by Bermbach and wheeled plywood display panels to attract immediate and sustained attention. The store offers products created by famous designers in professional studios, as well as articles designed and carpentered by design-crazy parents in the garages of the neighbourhood. So there are many simple and hand-crafted toys, or hand-woven rattan beds, but you will also find references to the future, e. g. interactive toys.

A short stroll through the shop will be enough to fall head over heels in love with it.
