Project Description
The UC San Diego Outpatient Pavilion houses the Disease Centers for Musculoskeletal Health, Breast Health, Urology, Pain, Apheresis and Stem Cell, with related services of imaging, rehabilitation, outpatient surgery and pharmacy. The building is organized into two wings connected by a public spine, and features naturally ventilated public spaces connected by a grand exterior stair. A slot of daylight penetrates into the deep floor plan, providing natural light to patient and staff areas while reducing lighting loads.
