Project Description

This residence by Harrison Design resembles a French farmhouse, with a simple painted-brick veneer and cedar shingle roof. Other than the classical pediment designating the entry, the only exterior embellishment is grey trim and a quiet diaper brick pattern. Three sets of glass-paned double doors on the front allow natural light to flood the interior. In the great room, whitewashed timbers accent the vaulted ceiling, with the stone fireplace and two-story chimney the focal point. From the back, the seven gables make the house appear like it’s been added to over the years. Symmetry and restraint are the keystones of the architecture.
