Project Description
Concerned with attracting families during tough economic times, this district was inspired to build a Virtual Learning Academy to offer one more choice for its students. Filled with state-of-the-art technology, this progressive facility provides expanded curriculum for district students and beyond. Home schooled and non-district students are welcome to participate in online education without stepping foot in the building. The reward for this concept is Seat-Time Waivers, allowing districts to receive state aid for students who don’t physically attend classes.
Per the owner’s request, the building’s “edgy” architecture reflects technology and is quickly becoming the face of the district. A 60-seat computer lab, conference / training center and interactive cyber café all promote learning-centered education.
