Lightfair, North America’s annual trade show and conference dedicated to lighting topics, has announced its 2017 Call for Speakers. The submission period for seminar and speaker proposals runs Aug. 8 to Sept. 16, 2016.
The 2017 event will take place in Philadelphia from May 7 -11, and subject experts are invited to submit proposals in the following seven focus areas: Inspiration, Core Knowledge, Design Tools and Technologies, Applications Research, Design Strategies, Professional Development, and Intelligent Lighting and Connectivity. The Core Knowledge, Design Strategies, Professional Development, and Intelligent Lighting and Connectivity topic areas are new for the 2017 seminar curriculum. The Call for Speakers is open to individuals in all industries including lighting, architecture, design, engineering, facility management, government, healthcare, hospitality, alternative energy, solar power, security, and transportation.
Education offerings are provided for all knowledge levels—foundational, intermediate and advanced—and duration—60-minute sessions, 90-minute seminars, 3-hour workshops, one-day courses, two-day courses, tours, and forums.
