Lightfair, North America’s annual trade show and conference dedicated to lighting topics, has announced its 2019 Call for Speakers. The submission period for seminar and speaker proposals runs July 11 to August 17, 2018 August 10, 2018 (11:59 p.m. EDT).
The 2019 conference and tradeshow will take place in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention center from May 19 -23. Industry professionals from across the design, engineering, and construction industries are encouraged to submit proposals for one of the six presentation module formats: Experiential Learning, Rapid Fire, Panel Presentation, Moderated Discussion, Lecture, and Tour. Courses are offered at all knowledge levels—foundational, intermediate and advanced—and duration—60-minute sessions, 90-minute seminars, 3-hour workshops, one-day courses, two-day courses, tours, and forums.
Topics of interest for presentations include, but are not limited to: Quality of Light; IoT; Emerging Technologies; Health & Wellness; Controls; Industry Dynamics; Glare and Visual Discomfort; Marketing, Proposal Writing, Contracts; Communication; Emerging Software; SSL End of life Issues; Daylighting; Codes, Standards, and Metrics; Architectural Details and Custom Fixtures; and Net-Zero Energy.
The entry process is an online-only procedure. Seminar proposals and speaker suggestions will be accepted starting July 11 through August 17, 2018, 11:59 p.m. EDT. In brief, proposals should include the course title, a 100-word course description, a longer-length course description, learning objectives, speaker/presenter bio. A presentation video is optional.
