Lenore Lucey to Step Down From NCARB in 2011

1 MIN READ

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) will have a new executive vice president as of July 1, 2011. Lenore Lucey, who currently holds that position at NCARB, announced on March 3 a planned transition of leadership, resulting in her stepping down in 2011 after 14 years of service. The move from the pencil-and-paper Architect Registration Examination to the electronic version occurred when Lucey joined NCARB, and during her tenure as executive vice president she helped the council advance into the electronic age. While two and a half years might seem like a long transition period, NCARB president Gordon Mills says it allows adequate time to prepare for the leadership change and conduct a successful search for a new executive vice president. A task force, chaired by NCARB treasurer Scott Veazey, has been formed to aid in the transition process.
