With just a little over two months until Milan’s Expo 2015 is open to the public, the design publication Designboom visited the site just 30 minutes north of Milan’s city center. Titled as “Grown in Britain,” the pavilion was designed by artist Wolfgang Buttress and installed by Stage One. This is their response the to the expo’s theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.” The project was designed around the concept of a beehive, while considering how new technologies and research are addressing security and biodiversity.
