Lzf Lamps Wins Craftsmanship Award

Lzf Lamps, the Valencia-based manufacturer of artisanal luminaires, has won the 2011 Spanish National Craftsmanship Award, presented by Fundes Artes, a Spanish non-profit foundation affiliated with the Spanish Ministry for Industry, Tourism, and Trade. The judges selected Luzifer for “its strong commitment to design, its careful production process, its meticulous craftsmanship and excellent brand communication.” Founded in 1994 by Sandro Tothill and Marivi Calvo, Lzf-originally known as Luzifer-is recognized for its sculptural handmade light fixtures, most often designed with paper-thin wood veneers.
