Project Description
Designed to achieve LEED Silver for Core and Shell construction, the firm completed the historic reconstruction of an existing building located on the corner of Newbury Street and Massachusetts Avenue to accommodate a new single-user retailer, Room and Board.
The four-story structure underwent extensive rehabilitation to include structurally stabilizing the building, repairing the exterior masonry walls, and adding a four story addition with a contemporary glass curtain-wall visible from Massachusetts Avenue. The design of the interior incorporates a large visible circulation stair and two exterior patio spaces facing Newbury Street.
