AIA Announces 2017 Institute Honor Awards for Regional & Urban Design

The American Institute of Architects today released the winners of the 2017 Institute Honor Awards for Regional & Urban Design. This year’s recipients showcased excellence in urban design through five recognized projects across the Unites States and Mexico.

The jury comprised chair Susin Chin, FAIA, of New York City’s Design Trust for Public Space; David W. Benn, AIA, of Balttimore-based Cho Benn Holback + Associates; James S. Bershof, FAIA, of Denver’s OZ Architecture; Shelia Kennedy, FAIA, of Boston-based Kennedy & Violich Architecture; Robert L. Ooley, FAIA, of Santa Barbara, Calif.’s County Government, Architect for Santa Barbara County in California.
