ICFF Editors Awards Announced

The 2006 ICFF Editors Awards were recently presented to best-of-show products on exhibition during the 18th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, which ran from May 20 to 23, 2006. Winning designers and manufacturers-representing 16 categories-were announced at the ICFF Exhibitors Reception.

Winners were chosen by an awards committee of design journalists that included: Silvia Latis, joint editor, Abitare; Catherine Osborne, senior editor, Azure; Andrew Wagner, senior editor, Dwell; Melissa Feldman, senior editor, House & Garden; Julie Lasky, editor-in-chief, I.D.; Karen D. Singh, market editor, Interior Design; Gilda Bojardi, editor, Interni; Chantal Hamaide, editor-in-chief, Intramuros; Susan S. Szenasy, editor-in-chief, Metropolis; and Arlene Hirst, deputy director of design and news, Metropolitan Home.

The award categories represented the fair's wide-ranging design focus, and in the lighting category, which showcased over 100 exhibitors, Barcelona-based Marset Illuminaci?n took home the award for its best-in-show lighting products (such as those shown left).
