Lightfair International’s annual kickoff event, the New Product Showcase, is well attended by exhibitors and attendees alike. Cosponsored by Architectural Lighting Magazine and Lightsearch, the event helps the industry identify the products to follow for the coming year. The 2004 showcase took place on Wednesday, March 31, presenting a record number 222 submissions in 25 categories. LED-based innovation dominated the entries. Indeed, the Best New Product of the Year, LINE from io Lighting, is an exterior LED-based linear luminaire designed to control light pollution and trespass.
