The Boston Design Center and New England Home magazine have announced the 2008 inductees into the New England Design Hall of Fame. Created jointly by the two entities in 2007, the Hall of Fame honors New England residential architects and interior designers whose work has made a significant contribution to the overall good of the community, as well as to the design fields in the region.

The 2008 New England Hall of Fame inductees are:

  • Mark A. Hutker, AIA, principal and founder of Hutker Architects in Vineyard Haven and Falmouth, Mass.

  • Richard Wills, AIA, of Royal Barry Wills Associates in Damariscotta, Maine, and Boston

  • James F. Estes, AIA, of Estes/Twombly Architects, Newport, R.I.

  • Lisa Bonneville, FASID, of Bonneville Design, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass.

  • Nancy Taylor, Taylor Interior Design, Providence, R.I. The new inductees were selected by a committee comprised of representatives from the New England design community, including individuals from the Boston Design Center, Boston Architectural College, the Boston Society of Architects, the American Society of Interior Designers, and New England Home's editorial staff.
