This week, we're sharing projects from Mexico to Lithuania and South Korea, with several stops in between. In addition to the projects that we give more detailed coverage, we highlight work that architecture firms share with us every day through Project Gallery, the user-generated portion of ARCHITECT's website. To date, we have more than 15,000 projects.

Punta Málaga
León, Mexico
A|J Arquitectura
"The intention was to integrate a few lots that were still not built in an old residential neighborhood of the city to be able to form a residential cloister with 14 houses."

Madrona Passive House
Seattle
Shed Architecture
"This residence is an ultra energy-efficient home built on a steep slope lot with sweeping views of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains. Sustainable site development strategies, efficient building systems, and a high performance envelope helped Madrona Passive House achieve the world’s most demanding building energy standard."

Vilkaviskis Bus Station
Vilkaviskis, Lithuania
Balcytis Studija
"The building has a building area of almost 4,000 square meters and the relationship with the environment is very close, even intimate, and the relationship with nature is exceptional. The conceived and implemented functional idea of the passable building turned the shortcomings of the situation into uniqueness of the project: the area of the triangular plot ‘absorbed’ the building intuitively merging with the surrounding nature, thus creating a park and public space inside the building."

Tasty Kabob
McLean, Va.
Core Architecture + Design
"Tasty Kabob challenged Core to develop a first-generation prototype design that translates the original food truck concept into a new, clean, and timeless yet modern design with a memorable visual identity, one that represents an Afghani cuisine centered around food honesty."

On the Way to School
Seoul, South Korea
G/O Architecture
"In this project, both side entry is important rather than in side lobby. Rare entry located with dark narrow garage change to bright and playful welcoming space and we provide active program in authoritative main entry porch. Both side entry shaped circle pattern adjusted on the floor, wall, furniture."

Bézier Curve House
Toronto
Bortolotto
"Employing Grasshopper architectural modeling software, the architects designed a softly curved roof that extends outward from the straight edge of the A-frame and cradles the courtyard and front door in three dimensions. A Bézier curve, the roof has an organic feeling that softens the overall form of the building."

University of Miami Centennial Village
Coral Gables, Fla.
VMDO Architects
"Centennial Village creates a sense of community at multiple levels, starting with 1,725 beds of student housing and progressing to the scale of the floor, building, village, and campus. Centennial Village’s four Residential Colleges reach out to campus, building on the existing architectural context and connecting the campus together, while envisioning the entire south side of Lake Osceola as a new and dynamic center of student life."

300 Grant Ave.
San Francisco
MBH Architects
"The six-story building houses three levels of boutique office spaces above three floors of prime high-street retail spaces in the city’s premier shopping destination. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the interiors with natural light while a horizontal scrim with a terra cotta finish, wrapped around the top four floors, provides a sense of privacy and sunlight diffusion."

ProMedica Headquarters
Toledo, Ohio
HKS Architects
Completed in 2017, the ProMedica Headquarters by HKS Architects covers 231,000 square feet in Toledo, Ohio. The adaptive reuse project provided a new headquarters for the health care nonprofit, ensuring a focus on the health and well-being of each employee through the use of natural materials, biomimicry design strategies, and by providing ample access to outdoor spaces. Given the firm's sensitivity to health care–focused environments, HKS has been studying how architecture might evolve in a post-COVID-19-vaccine world. Read more about how the global firm predicts that multifamily residential architecture might evolve in "Post-Vaccine Multifamily Residential Architecture," one of six building typologies featured in ARCHITECT's 2021 "What's Next" feature on post-vaccine architecture.
