This week, we're sharing projects from Bainbridge Island, Wash., to Louny, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, and Talca, Chile, with several stops in between. In addition to the projects that we give more detailed coverage, we highlight work that architecture firms share with us every day through the Project Gallery, the user-generated portion of ARCHITECT's web site. To date, we have more than 15,000 projects.
This weekly roundup showcases some of the coolest new projects to be added to the gallery—thanks to architects like you.

Glacier Eye Clinic Addition
Kalispell, Mont.
Cushing Terrell
"Glacier Eye Clinic is a 29,000 sq. ft. building composed on a naturally sloping site, oriented to take full advantage of the views of Glacier National Park. The grand lobby was designed to capture an abundance of natural light and create a focal point and main entry that serves as a wayfinding destination throughout the large facility."

Swimming Pool Louny
Louny, Czech Republic
DKarchitekti
"The shape of the public swimming pool is significantly influenced by its location characteristics, so that this new element becomes a natural part of the place. Above all, this influence manifests itself in a generous opening of the pool area to the south into a park garden and, on the other hand, in a closing on the north façade with the exception of local openings, such as a cooling terrace protruding from the spa area, from which you can observe exceptional curves of the Bohemian Central Mountains."
Talca Civic Space
Talca, Chile
Oficio Arquitectos
"The proposal is characterized by its contribution to public space, which is developed through the following strategies: freeing up the first floor and extending the activity from ground level to the existing avenue; generating a system of urban patios through a porous platform; and giving continuity to the circuit of civic spaces on the terraces which function as urban viewpoints. The entire project is controlled by a homogeneous grid that allows flexibility and spatial adaptability."

Granero Office Building
Bainbridge Island, Wash.
Coates Design: Architecture + Interiors | Seattle Architects
"Three companies were searching for new homes on Bainbridge Island. A dilapidated barn called out for a new purpose; thus the Granero project was born (Spanish for “barn”). The existing structure, built in 1978, was previously used for maintenance and storage. It consisted of a concrete slab, two large garage doors, and rusted metal siding."

U.S. Embassy in New Delhi
New Delhi
Weiss/Manfredi Architecture / Landscape / Urbanism
"Following on the first phase of this long-term master plan includes a new office building, a support annex, and a unifying landscape that will provide a secure campus for America’s Mission in India. The design enables the restoration of Edward Durell Stone’s early modernist Chancery Building and recasts the 28-acre embassy compound into a multi-functional, resilient campus."

Lamar Station Classroom for Urban Farming
Lakewood, Colo.
Colorado Building Workshop
"The site is located in the panhandle of the property along the Lakewood Gulch. Given the up-and-coming characteristics of the neighborhood, visibility into the classroom and vandalism were concerns. The solution was a steel bar grate structure that provided 'dynamic' transparency. The orientation of the classroom allows for views into the space by staff sitting in their office while simultaneously allowing privacy for those learning in the classroom."

Gdynia Mixed-Use Development
Gdynia, Poland
RMJM
"The strategically placed office building, facing the main street, has a shape inspired by the keel of a ship. The southeast corner is raised height, creating a connection of the inner space of the plot with the mall located on the south. The curved surface of the office building creates an organic shape that gives the sense of protection like being in a conch shell. The seating in the piazza speaks the same organic language and seems to erupt from the ground and be sculpted by the wind."

Casa Puente
Cave Creek, Ariz.
Koss Design+Build
"The lot is zoned as hillside, bringing with it the challenges of building on a slope. The falling grade faced predominantly west, adding to the challenges of keeping the expansive views of the west and southwest while still shielding the home from the sun, as well as giving the homeowners the single-level living they wanted."

Growing Up
Hong Kong
New Office Works
Designed by the Hong Kong–based firm New Office Works, this pavilion installation comprises a sloped roof supported by a series of timber columns. Located near Hong Kong's waterfront, the pavilion's steadily increasing elevation mirrors the growth of seedlings in a nearby park, allowing the project to capture "everyday elements fundamental to Hong Kong, embedding and cultivating them within the fabric of a soon-to-be major arts and cultural center," according to the firm's description.
