Francis Kéré, Hon. FAIA's Serpentine Pavilion, installed last year at the Serpentine Galleries in London, is moving to Malaysia. The pavilion was bought by "a group of philanthropists and supporters" and donated to ILHAM Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, according to ILHAM director Rahel Joseph. "At this point we have not confirmed where it will be installed—what we can say is that we will locate it at a public space so the Malaysian public will be able to access and view the Pavilion," Joseph says in an email.

Kéré is the principal and founder of Kéré Architecture in Berlin. His Serpentine Pavilion—the 17th iteration of the annual commission—was inspired by a tree in his hometown of Gando, Burkina Faso. The pavilion closed in London on Nov. 19, 2017.
