The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) has announced the Call for Seminar Proposals for its annual conference Enlighten Americas 2019. The conference will take place Oct. 3 – 5 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Hotel Albuquerque. Next year marks the IALD’s 50th Anniversary, and the theme for the conference is “Celebrating the Power of Light – Honoring the past, celebrating the present and looking to the future.”
All seminar proposal must be submitted by Jan. 14, 2019 Jan. 7, 2019 via the online portal at iald.me/enlighten2019_CFP.
The Enlighten conference is organized around sessions that fall into one of three tracks: Art (communicating design), Science (shaping the future), or Professional Tools (the business and operational side of lighting practice). Seminar proposal are sought for 60 or 90 minutes sessions. The IALD is also seeking proposals for three hands-on advanced level workshops, two to four hours in length, for lighting designers. Workshops must include a hands-on activity, but can also include a lecture and/or group discussion.
