Firm Description

building Lab is an innovative design-build firm specializing in high-end residential remodeling. We are passionate about modern design, dedicated to precision quality construction and committed to green building practices. Along with a collaborative spirit, these converge in a unique ability to offer intelligent, practical and sustainable solutions in support of our clients' goals.

An architect by training (UC Berkeley M. Arch) and a carpenter by trade, I began building Lab in 2001 with a dedication to a holistic approach to the design and building processes. In 2003, I had the good fortune of purchasing a workshop from a well known woodworker who was retiring and proceeded to develop an office compound that becomes our headquarters today.
