VASCONI ARCHITECTES is an award-winning architecture studio headquartered in Paris with offices in Berlin, Luxembourg and Hong Kong. Founded by Claude Vasconi in 1973, the firm has significantly expanded under the visionary direction of the firm’s principle architect and current owner, Thomas Schinko.Schinko upholds Vasconi’s ideology that the social cohesion and solidarity of a traditional city is the foundation of culture. This ethos has led the firm to produce a great number of reputable large scale urban and territorial master plan designs.

The studio applies this practice to the entirety of its projects, ranging from luxury office buildings, cutting-edge hospitality-retail design, high-end residences, and interior design to industrial buildings, infrastructural projects, waste-treatment facilities and healthcare facilities.
Over the years, VASCONI ARCITECTES has developed strong relationships with renowned international engineering companies with whom they collaborate to create revolutionary high-impact ecological designs. This process driven design approach has garnered VASCONI ARCITECTES several international awards including a Green Building Merit Award, FIABCI Prix d’ Excellence Award and a Grand Prix d’ Architecture Midi-Pyrenees Award.
VASCONI ARCHITECTES also won an international design competition in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong to construct one of the biggest sludge treatment facilities in the world.
The firm also designed the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC) in Saudi Arabia—a 189,000-square-meter state-of-the-art convention and exhibition facility. The building’s distinctive ‘wave-form’ roof is now one Riyadh City’s most celebrated architectural landmarks.
VASCONI ARCHITECTES recently took home first-prize for its Astana Expo 2017 venue design in Kazakhstan, an international exhibition that will focus on "Future Energy.” The venue grounds stretch over 25 hectares and will have the capacity to host three million expected visitors from 100 countries.
Closer to home, VASCONI ARCHITECTES won the competition to design the prestigious Hôtel MELIA Paris La Défense. The slender building is a glass prism characterized by volume and light. The iconic luxury hotel has 369 rooms and suites, a glass elevator and a VIP bar with panoramic city views.
