Starting on Monday, Nov. 7, ARCHITECT magazine will host the first edition of its ARCHITECT Live event, a conference that offers attendees the chance to hear from thought leaders in the industry and earn continuing education credits. The three-day, in-person conference will take place in Washington, D.C., at the Watergate Hotel and include individual speaker sessions as well as moderated panels on topics such as architecture in the digital sphere, wellness in the field, and equity in the profession. Originally priced at $495, tickets are now available for $99 using the discount code: OCTOBER.
ARCHITECT editor-in-chief Paul Makovsky will moderate a number of the scheduled panels. “After three years of uncertainty, now is the time to reimagine our communities and cities and their purpose,” Makovsky said in a press release from Zonda, ARCHITECT's parent company. “Join us and hear firsthand from the innovative disruptors who are transforming today’s architecture and design and reshaping society."
This year's speakers include:
- Kai-Uwe Bergmann, partner, Bjarke Ingels Group
- Katie Swenson, senior principal, Mass Design Group
- Rosa Sheng, vice president, SmithGroup
- Danish Kurani, founder, Kurani
- Renée Yancey, chief external equity, diversity, and inclusion officer for The American Institute of Architects
