ArtVPS, the CAD software provider that developed the Shaderlight interactive rendering plugin for Trimble SketchUp, has released a collaborative cloud-based project management platform. Sketchpack lets architects, designers, contractors, and clients communicate, upload, and share interactive 3D architectural models via the cloud. The company partnered with Web-based modeling platform Sketchfab, which lets users share 3D models without an additional plug-in or host application on the system. Sketchpack supports 27 native 3D formats as well as features such as textures, normal maps, specular, diffuse, and transparency lights.
