Project Description
83 Gardner Street is a four-story, 38-unit apartment building in Allston. The project is the first phase of Packard Crossing, a residential development owned by The Hamilton Company that provides moderately-priced housing for the community, creates new connections in green spaces, and unifies the surrounding neighborhood. 83 Gardner includes the preservation and restoration of one of the last remaining Victorian-era houses on Gardner Street. The restored porch and ground floor lobby/lounge serves as a threshold to connect the historic structure to new construction, building upon the existing massing and rhythm of its residential street. Working in collaboration with Ground, Inc., the project preserves existing trees in a newly designed courtyard. 83 Gardner Street is on track to be LEED Gold Certified.
