Project Description

The operators of the College Football Hall of Fame made the decision to locate their new Atlanta offices into the adjacent World Congress Center. The location within the large scale existing convention center public space presented an interesting opportunity to play with proportion and scale. With a very tall volume of space and a requirement to retain the existing architecture, the design was conceived with strong linear moves contrasted with tall large scale graphics.

Derived from all things collegiate, the goal was to create a nostalgic and inspiring space. The beveled entry portal, light coves and millwork are influenced by collegiate typography. The entry mural, comprised of customized archival photos from the museum, stretches out into the convention center and helps entice those to visit the nearby museum.

So as not to emphasize a particular team, a black and white color palette was created with accents of rustic wood and turf green. Large scale custom graphics in combination with the tall light filled volume of space help give this space a dramatic and impactful impression and create an inspiring place to work.
