Project Description

This adaptive reuse renovation converts vacant retail space on the first floor of a University residential hall into collaborative student centered spaces.
The University retained LVDA to convert the vacant ground floor storefronts into collaborative learning and work spaces with a fast track construction schedule and tight budget. The build-out created five 32-seat and two 78-seat classrooms for a total of 316 seats, Oases (informal learning) spaces with approximately 80 seats, a C-Stop with help desk, printing and recharging capabilities and offices for UIC Global/Shorelight Education staff.
