Project Description

The design project for the new corporate offices for IENOVA Torre del Ángel, located on Reforma avenue in Mexico City, was done by Work+ by Serrano +. The areas were distributed on the 10, 11 and 17 level and each one has a surface of 1, 230 sq m of useful space.

The main corridor located at the center works as the design axis dividing the concentration and collaborative spaces of the operating area, such as private offices for managers and directors and workstations. The operating areas are next to the façade ensuring the larger quantity of natural light into the interior and providing with best views for all.

The concentration rooms, located mostly on the main corridor, are flexible spaces that allow a broad spectrum of activities for the users being some of them rooms to focus, make a telephone call, have a meeting with another colleague, an office for a consultor or visitor among others.

The kitchen, dining room and training rooms were located on the 11th level. The last two may be joined thanks to a system of mobile partitions with the purpose of creating a much bigger space, Town Hall, that allows to have corporate events with a large number of assistants.

The training rooms have a hall with cushioned benches and square tables that may be also use as waiting room, as well as collaborative spaces or for retreat for collaborators searching for a change of scenery. The general project locates the informal collaborative areas between and close to the workstations for the users to have the opportunity of meeting without the need to reserve a meeting room.

The plafond´s design adds motion and a dynamic touch with the drywall moldings in two levels and colors (white and gray) to emphasize the effect. In the open areas the ribbed slab was left exposed, a constructive characteristic that shows the time when Torre del Ángel was designed, revealing its history and scoring the sensation of a greater height.
