Project Description

The new Ferraro Choi offices involved the renovation of a long vacated portion of the fifth floor of the 1960’s modern IBM Office Building designed by famed architect Vladimir Ossipoff, FAIA. The scope of work for the project included 5,000 square feet of tenant improved office space for the firm’s 25 employees, including general open office areas, private offices, conference rooms, informal meeting areas, materials/resources library, and employee lounge.

The firm’s primary design objective was to provide an open, light- filled environment allowing sweeping views to Ala Moana Beach Park and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The new design respects and enhances Ossipoff’s building design and in 2011 was Certified LEED® Platinum for Commercial Interiors.

Locally harvested ohia wood from the Big Island of Hawaii was milled and crafted by a native Hawaiian firm for the reception room floors and woven ceiling.
