Project Description
FROM THE GUGGENHEIM HELSINKI DESIGN COMPETITION:
GH-76091181 has a stunning beacon-like appearance made of timber and makes for an ideal event space on the waterfront. Galleries are stacked within the towers with bridges permitting access from one tower to another, offering visitors valuable respite with a sequence of new viewing points. Local craftsmen use local products and simple construction techniques, highlighted by a play of light and shadows from the massive towers’ shapes.
