Structural design for the New Campus of the prestigious IIM, Ahmedabad. The campus spread across 39 acres comprises of several buildings including the International Management Center, Academic Blocks, Incubation Center, Dorms, Sports facilities, etc. Involved right from the conceptual stage, VMS helped devise structural systems to suit the exposed RCC concept. Having tackled this challenge early on allowed Lead Designer freedom of expression. The Project uses large murals in mild steel, which at many places serve as load bearing trusses. This is a definitive example of VMS’s active and successful collaboration with other team members.
