Project Description

The project is at the very beginning stages of design with more plans to come shortly.

It is inspired by columnar basalt formations. Providing a hexagonal theme, the project has taken on a decidedly natural feel. Coincidentally, the saguaro cactus ribs echo the geometry of the basalt.

The metal skin will be faceted to self shade, and allow hot air to rise and exit with minimal heat transfer from the sun hit skin.

After seeing the Guggenheim entry, Mike Fleeman asked me to design the project. The initial renderings that will come from these sketches will be used in the fundraising efforts.
