Project Description
The Moonlight Villas project, developed by LAHP and Abbey Road of Penny Lane Centers is truly a special place. Caring for all sizes of familes, the building was defined by its site as much as its program. The units are cool respites from the notorious heat in the area and the triple width exterior corridors provide a safe area for children to play under a watchful eye. With active and large community areas, both interior and exterior, the residents will have no problem creating a vibrant community within the building. The site, a triangular hillside lot, allowed wonderful angles to be created and HC+RA took full advantage, shifting the buildings axis and incorporating a Saw Tooth roof design. With the facades using over 27 site contextual colors, the project hopes to kickstart the residents into a higher and happier quality of life.
