Project Description

FROM THE AIA:

The design of the Hess Center is driven by the concept that it is a vehicle for healing and discovery. Its mechanisms for achieving its purpose are translation and collaboration, therefore, its design solution focused on creating a healing environment that fosters interaction. While the design creates ideal conditions for both clinical and research activities, most importantly, it emphasizes the connection between the two. By highlighting the ties between the patients and the researchers exploring cures to their diseases, the Hess Center creates a profound sense of immediacy.
