Project Description
Hard Rock and the New York Yankees combined forces to launch the flagship NYY Steak in Midtown Manhattan. As design firm on the project, SOSH Architects transformed four levels of a city high rise to emanate the one-of-a-kind culture of this iconic baseball team. The elite 236-seat steakhouse features multi-level dining areas, a grand staircase and an on-premises butcher shop. Distinctive design elements include a signature wall show casing the autographs of 86 legendary Yankee players and a custom designed Italian chandelier. The fixture, made from LED lights and 8,500 hooks of gleaming gold, silver and bronze Murano glass, dramatically descends nine feet from the ceiling in the feature bar. NYY Steak’s presence elevates the steakhouse to the major league of Manhattan’s restaurant scene.
