Project Description
This project is a collaboration between Leppanen Anker Arquitectura and the developer Uribe & Schwarzkopf.
Leppanen Anker have created a new 24-story residential building located in Quito, Ecuador. The movement of the building responds to views of the nearby parks Parque Carolina and Parque Metropolitano and of the Pichincha volcano. The weaving of balconies allows the user to have double height spaces to accentuate the buildings dynamic location within the city of Quito. Construction started January of 2017. When completed, One will be the tallest building in Quito.
The client's requirements were to combine a sophisticated interior design that includes innovative social areas such as pool, spa, game room, gym, theater and meeting rooms with a compelling facade that would utilize its location in the heart of the city by maximizing views around the building. The building was also to be a local attractor and create innovative and creative spaces with world-class architecture.
