Project Description
The Sacks, a busy family of four, live in an older, traditional home with very little storage. Their bedroom closets were incredibly small. They did, however, have an extra bedroom next to the master bedroom that they used as a home office, but it was collecting dust and barely got any use. And, because their bedroom closet was small, they were using two separate closets in other rooms. As a result, they had to go back and forth between closets to get ready in the morning. Plus, clothes and shoes were stuffed inside; making it difficult for them to get ready and to leave for work on time. Originally, they considered a costly home addition to create more usable space. Instead, they saved thousands by converting that dusty second bedroom into a spacious master closet using Organized Living Classica. This Organized Living makeover deserves the Builder’s Choice Award because the project was very affordable and incredibly effective. Transforming the office into a master closet changed an infrequently used space into a space used multiple times daily. Plus, the new closet stores triple the amount of clothes. This makes it easier for the Sacks to keep their wardrobe organized. As a result, they save more than an hour each week getting dressed and out the door. “Our master closet renovation has simplified our life and expanded our space,” remarked The Sacks. “Plus, by moving several pieces of furniture from the bedroom into the closet, our bedroom is more relaxing because we have more living space.” Final notes: During the design process, we didn't just provide shelving, we considered their organization needs. These busy professionals needed space for their large wardrobe and shoe collection. We maximized space by transforming an existing reach in closet in that same bedroom into a dedicated shoe and accessory closet.
