Project Description

To bring a broader range of healthcare services to a rapidly growing population, St. Joseph’s/Candler elected to build an ambulatory services hub on an 18.3-acre site in the city of Pooler, Georgia. Gresham Smith was selected to provide professional services for the multi-phased project that will be built over a 10-year period to create a multistory, technologically advanced medical facility. Phase I of the larger campus project comprised a 83,000-square foot, three-story ambulatory services hub. The facility houses primary care, urgent care, an OBGYN clinic, shell space and tenant space. It also features ambulatory surgery, pre-admission testing and imaging and includes a da Vinci Surgical System powered by robotic technology to support minimally invasive surgery. Phase II will include expanded primary care offices, expanded specialty offices, wound care, cardiac rehab, occupational medicine, diagnostic cardiology and short-stay observation beds.
