Project Description
Designed by SOSH Architects, The Marketplace Eatery is Borgata’s newest casual dining experience. Previously used as a food court, the renovated multi-outlet, quick-serve complex takes the cafeteria concept to an entirely new level. The existing space was transformed into an open and inviting upscale eatery, which now features a gourmet marketplace, coffee bar, wine bar, chef’s table, and six made-to-order food venues. The design team drew inspiration from chic metropolitan eateries around the globe and the traditional marketplaces of Italy, using warm natural materials and textures to inspire guests to experience the various foods and drinks within. The marketplace, which serves as the complex’s anchor, boasts imported tiles and granite, intricate brick work and an elevated floor plan to create depth and separation from the other quick-serve venues. Stylish yet comfortable furnishings allow guests to relax while sipping wine, and tasting cheese and other small plates. Located below the Borgata’s Poker Room and The Racebook, a custom-designed patterned floor and large wall mural lead guests from the gaming area into the marketplace. This beautifully designed and reimagined cafeteria is chic, sophisticated and delicious.
