Project Description

FROM THE ARCHITECTS:

Omni was selected to design the renovation of the University Lofts building on Bolivar Street, to house programs for the University of Kentucky’s School of Art and Visual Studies. The 97,000 SF facility, which previously contained 86 apartments, will be occupied primarily by visual arts programs and will include faculty offices, classrooms, studios, and a gallery. Led by Omni partners Michael Jacobs and Eric Zabilka, the project goals include creating spaces that facilitate learning and creativity by introducing ample daylighting, improved air quality, and large open spaces to facilitate a collaborative creative process.
